A note on how Tulum works. Most clubs here operate on a minimum consumption: a set food-and-drink spend that stands in for entry. It's standard here, and amounts vary by club. Through October, many waive or ease minimums entirely; in high season, they firm up. The app maps it out ahead of time, so there's nothing to negotiate on the sand. Outside food and drink aren't permitted — everything comes from the club's kitchen.

Allow extra time to get to beach in high season as there can be traffic. Aldea Zama is also the other very walkable destination in Tulum with many options for shopping and dining.
