This house is designed to accommodate a big group but still afford everyone a place for privacy and alone time. All the building materials are indigenous... fruit trees, polished cement, all under a breathtaking vaulted hand made palapa roof. And the house features an extra long pool that literally is eye level to the beach and ocean for relaxing after a day of surfing. Enjoy meals prepared by a talented local cook who has perfected her trade by serving some of the most celebrated chefs from San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles and Brooklyn. Its truly beach living at its simplest, most elemental, and yet luxurious best.
The house is situated on the beach called Saladita renowned for having a world class long board wave attracting surf celebrities from all over the world and making this a destination for surf contests and events. Sitting anywhere in the house you can scope out the break and who's on it before you make the short walk down the beach with your board.
For those who don't surf, or even for those who do, there's horseback riding and deep sea fishing right outside the house, great yoga classes in nearby Troncones, golf in Ixtapa, and shopping in Zihuatanejo.
The house is fully equipped with WIFI, hot water indoor/outdoor showers, air conditioning in three rooms ... (we prefer the natural air conditioning of the wind off the mountains at night, but for those who prefer the electrically-generated kind, it's there). We also prefer no TVs... so there are none. But we have been known to host many a movie night where we project movies on to the large white adobe walls (make sure you have movies with sub titles ... the waves wash out the sound).
Each bedroom has its own bathroom and hot water shower. The Master bedroom is detached from the main house for extra privacy and features a balcony right over the ocean. The Master has a queen bed and full dressing room area. The Poolside bedroom has a queen bed. The bedroom off the living room has two singles that can be pushed together for a queen. The other three bedrooms have two single beds in each room.
Daily housekeeping service is included.
