Healing Home Overlooking the Mountains | House in Bethlehem
4 Bedroom House in Bethlehem
Relax with the whole family in this fully private, peaceful, quiet, spacious home right in the White Mountains. Play shuffleboard, cornhole, drums, keyboard, watch movies (4 different ones simultaneously), watch the sunset over the mountains, sleep comfortably surrounded by nature, and just let all your worries vanish. The backyard is very large, private, and far away from traffic (it's up on a hill looking down into the mountains) - so, if you bring Fido, he can run carefree without you having to worry.
Easy check-in with code provided on day of arrival. You'll have everything you will need.
Please note that if you want to request to book, I need you to include in your request the following information or I will assume the request is spam (you'd be surprised how many people send spam messages): How many people will be staying, a little about the group staying, if you've stayed at short-term rentals previously, if you'd read the entire listing already, and if you agree to pay through VRBO.
The house is as it appears in the photos - large kitchen, two places to eat, a large living room with wonderful views, a primary bedroom with attached bathroom and walk-in shower, desk with a mountain view, and two other bedrooms on the first floor as well. Downstairs you have a shuffle board with option to play cornhole, a music room with games and instruments, and another bedroom with a king bed. The house has a large and private backyard with breathtaking views of the mountains. You are about 10 minutes from Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain, and Littleton. There are hundreds of incredible hiking trails just minutes away.
Please read the following and note you have agreed to this in your request to book:
Limit is 6 adults and 2 kids (8 total). Some exceptions to this general rule may be made - please inquire if interested.
Dogs (up to 2) allowed, and only well-behaved dogs that we can reasonably expect won't damage the house are welcome. Owners need to pick up after their dog(s) in the yard before departing, please, or a fee may be imposed. There is a pooper scooper outside you can use. (This makes it so other guests can more freely enjoy the beautiful backyard.) Also, please remove any shedding prior to your checkout to make life easier for my cleaner.
Please remove shoes upon entry in the house.
Smoking is strictly not allowed inside the house, and there will be a fee imposed if there is any evidence of smoking inside the house, or if butts (or the like) are found anywhere on the property. (Takes a while to remove that smell from the house. We bought the house from a lady who used to smoke inside and we did as much as we could-- installed new floors, repainted walls, etc. ---to remove the smell. Thanks for understanding.)
Note that there is a ring doorbell that has a video onto the driveway to help ensure no one other than the approved guests are allowed during the stay without prior approval (which includes animals).
This is not a party house and noise levels need to remain respectful of neighbors at all times. Quiet hours of 10pm-8am apply - meaning no unreasonable noise levels outside during these hours please that would catch the attention of neighbors and cause complaints. Any neighbor complaints may subject a guest to a financial penalty.
Please do not leave food outside - you may attract bears. On that note: there are bears sometimes at night so probably not a great idea to let the dog just run free at night.
If you are departing on a Monday or staying through a Monday, you'll be asked to roll the trash and recycling to the end of the driveway in the morning and bring them back to the garage in the evening on Monday.
If you use the grill, which you are welcome to, you are expected to leave it clean and ready for the next guests (and text me if you do use it so I can keep track of the propane needs.)
There is a fire pit that you can use if someone remains with the fire at all times and it isn't left unattended. Guests are responsible for bringing their own fire starters, though there is a lighter in the house. You'll see wood outside under a black tarp and can help yourself to 10-ish logs for free, but if you plan to use more than that, please bring your own wood that you can buy down the street at the variety shop.
While you are welcome to use the instruments, you will be responsible for any damage caused to them (goes for any property in the house).
We ask that before you leave, you don't make up any bed you sleep in so we know what sheets need to be changed. We ask that you please strip the sheets of the beds used and put dirty sheets and used towels in hamper by the washing machine.
Please leave the kitchen as close to possible as how you found it (and dispose of any food not used unless it would be a positive addition to the house to leave behind). It is fine to have the dishwasher running when you leave, but please don't leave out dirty dishes.
You're welcome to use the garage to park your car during your stay, but please leave the remote where you found it on the highchair in the kitchen when you leave.
Please try your best to conserve electricity during the stay (turning out lights and off AC when not in use, etc.)
Thank you!
