Summary: We arrived and it looked like they had just finished cleaning the room, the floors were still drying and that is we checked in a few minutes before 3pm. The bed sheet had yellow stains also the pillows, made me wonder if they were even changed. The fridge top was dirty with sticky stuff and so was the interior it had a yellow wet stain. Staff is nice and very caring, except one guy from night shift that seemd bothered when we asked for things like extra soap and toilet paper. They only provide one small bottle of shampoo, one toilet paper, one water bottle and one soap for 4 people reserved room. The room was next to a public rental bathroom so when we left the bathroom window open the stench of those public bathrooms came into the room. Doesn't seem like their are any rules in the hotel, people yelling and slamming doors. If your thier for tranquililty this is not your place. Other than this the location of the hotel is fabulous. It next to an OXXO , beach is a few feet away and on the main strip. Few blocks away from public transportation. I stay here again for the convience but I dislike the uncleaniness.

Summary: Overall good. We were on the 3rd floor and the steps were a lot when there was no toilet paper or towels. I went down for those. Then realized I didn’t have wifi code so had to go back down for that. Pretty basic room on the inside so didn’t have a view but that’s ok for one night. Perfect location. No parking. Air conditioning worked good. Bed was comfortable. No frills.

Summary: Overall a good stay. Clean room, comfortable bed although no fitted sheets, nice balcony to enjoy the ocean view. Hotel a bit dated but located on the boardwalk. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Only issue was the drain smells - sink needs a plug. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend.

Summary: We enjoyed staying right on the Malecon for three nights in Progreso, but for longer stays, the views of the beach, people, and water are not enough to outweigh the drawback of the shouting of young men vying for the attention each new pedestrian to appear on the Malecon, trying to sell a special spot on the beach, or tout their sponsor's restaurant, or a marquesita stand (which are everywhere.). These shouting men, (carnival barkers, really) are an easily tolerated nuisance, in the short term, but it is ceaseless, and ultimately, very annoying. Their constant loud shouts (often just shouting at and to each other!) diminishes the experience of Progresso's Malecon They also station boomboxes playing their favorite music so loudly that they are forced to shout just to be heard over their own noise.
The hotel was fine, overall. The staff worked to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. The nuisance shouting declines dramatically by sundown, and by 10pm the Malecon was, in our experience, quiet.
