Summary: The house was not ready for guests. Clogged plumbing, leaking faucets, cold water showers, dirty counters and floors in the kitchen. Stench of garbage in the kitchen. Rust, peeling paint and broken concrete. The washing machine leaked water onto the bathroom floor. We spent the first 1 1/2 days cleaning the house. Water barely dripped from the showers. There was no hot water. The water in the tub took hours to drain. The photos at the website were not accurate; they were apparently taken many years ago. For example, the photos display two hammocks on the porch and a white shower rod in one of the bathrooms. There were two rusty anchors on a column and no matching anchors on the wall that would allow a hammock to be hung. The shower rod in the bathroom was sagging at a 15-degree angle, paint had flaked off and the rod had extensive rust. There was a paucity of china. Several of the few dishes in the kitchen were cracked. There were only a couple of unmatched bowls. Knives were dull. Caulking in the kitchen sink was peeling. The furnishings were as depicted but shabby. Bedroom nearest car parking area had a stench that continued throughout the visit. By the third day, the management had provided hot water and cleared the drains. Cristi was responsive. Veronica was a voice on the phone. On the positive side, the gulf view from the porch was lovely and the beach was private.
