The Space:
The Hummingbird Nest is part of a triplex and is nestled between two larger units. This property was built in 1942 and has original windows and other features. The property does get yard flooded irrigation, so no need to be alarmed if you wake up to water in the front yard.
The Hummingbird Nest has recently been renovated and offers approximately 550 sf of private guest space, including full kitchen, dedicated office space, Queen bed, living room space and bathroom. We offer cooking spices and a fully stocked coffee/tea bar. Floor fan, luggage rack, drying rack, iron and ironing board are provided. Upon request, a roll away bed can be provided for additional sleeping arrangements.
The best part of Central Phoenix (Uptown) is the beautiful greenery you will not find anywhere else in town! It does not feel like you are in the middle of a desert! Its a great neighborhood to enjoy a walk or jog! Within walking distance, we have a few restaurants and quick marts to pick from, a Starbucks, dry cleaners and barber. Free street parking directly in front of the unit. Short drive to several popular restaurants and bars. Central Phoenix is truly, centrally located in the valley, offering a short drive to any part of the valley!
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to entire unit which includes full kitchen, office nook, bedroom (Queen) /living room space and bathroom. Guests also have a dedicated front porch to enjoy. Guests will have the flexibility of self check in/out via lock box on site.
The Neighborhood:
Located in one of the most upscale area in Uptown and overlaps the Midtown neighborhood. It’s also the second-priciest neighborhood in Phoenix. Mansions, large and midsize ranch houses and smaller historic homes can be found here as well. The area is home to several popular local restaurants.
Getting Around:
Phoenix is on a road grid system; Streets to the East of Central Ave and Avenues on the West of Central Ave. We are located off 7th Ave and Bethany Home. For guests without transportation, the closest light rail stop would be about a 20 minute walk located near 7th Ave and Camelback Rd or near Spectrum mall near 19th Ave and Montebello Rd. Closest laundry mat is Clean Laundry located at 6815 N 19th Ave Suite 155, Phoenix, AZ 85015.
Other Things to Note:
Considering the age of the property, the pipes are sensitive; therefore, please limit what is placed down kitchen sink as well as toilet. This space is a NO SMOKING and Animal FREE space due to allergy sensitivities.
When requesting deliveries to the space, please make sure to indicate the unit is located off of 8th Ave and has a Yellow door with the Hummingbird Nest above the mail box. Note, that often times deliveries are made to the front unit by mistake. Please contact Host if you show deliveries have been made but do not see them on the porch. We will be happy to bring them over to you.
